October 1, 2026 -- Howl to the Moon out to Lisa "She-Wolf" Rosynsky who raced the World Triathlon Championship Finals in Pontevedra, Spain in both the Draft-Legal Sprint and Aquabike!!! Her performance at both races puts her in the 99.999999% of 45-49 Females in the World!!!!

For those that don't know the backstory (you can read the longer version on Facebook), L-Ro called me up several years ago, shortly after I started triathlete coaching, as she was looking for some help at the Jersey Girl Triathlon. After few months of training, which she stuck hard to, placed 7th Overall at Jersey Girl and we stuck together over the years and her opportunity to races at Worlds was a Capstone to the last several years! Worlds is really fun, isn't it Lisa! :)

Kevin "The Big Black Bear" Bevillard raced his first ever half-marathon at the "Run the Rockies Half-Marathon" in Frisco, Colorado! Despite stomach issues the night before leaving him with little sleep, he pulled it together and crossed the finish line! Most impressive about this is, after the race, he reminded me that a few months ago when we first started working together, he never ran more than a couple of miles...

Tara "Yes I Can" Corduan followed up her big overall win at Lake Hopatcong at the Cow Harbor 10K in Northpoint, New York which is an incredibly competitive race. Tara has been dealing with a calf issue all summer which has made consistent running challenging to say the least and finished with an 8:25 pace and in the Top 10% of F50-54!

Kabir "Kaboom" Ghale raced in Colorado Springs at the Pikes Peak Ascent (Half-Marathon) where you gain almost 8,000' over the 13.1 miles and followed that up with a solid sub-1:55 at the Boulderthon Half-Marathon!

Chris and I raced at the Oktoberfest Sprint Tri in Longmont, Colorado where we each won our age groups, F55-59 and M55-59. Fun fact I learned after, as this was the Collegiate Regional Championships and a very competitive age group race as it is one of the few triathlons that aren't at the Boulder Rez, my bike split was 5 fastest in the entire field. The guy that had the 4th fastest bike split which was 27 seconds faster than me was a former professional bike racer from 2006 - 2016 who specialized in the Time Trial. I'll take that... :)

Howl out to Alan "The Raptor" Corona who completed his first ever IronMan in Wisconsin! He executed a really good race where he just kept relentless moving forward. He had a comfortable swim where he followed the field, methodically ran up the helix and made it through Transition, got on the bike and never felt that anything was too hard ( Colorado Mountains vs Wisconsin Hills put climbing in perspective :) ), T2 was 5 minutes long, then ran from Aid Station to Aid Station. His objective was to beat my first IronMan time of 14:44 and slid in with 15 minutes to spare! Really happy for him!!!!

Our World Champion, Andy "The Hammer" Solomon, in this case, was the "Nail" at the IronMan 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France. :) Jet lag and a very hot, non-windy day in the French Riviera! Caught up with him afterwards and he shared some funny comments. The bike course there is really difficult. An endless climb that was further made challenging by stale, hot air left him recalling a conversation he had with Chris Kachinsky (The Wife) 10 years ago when she said to switch from Thighs to Hamstrings on long climbs to help break up the monotony and recalled, on the descent down the back side of the mountain, my advice to "Not Die". Andy had an unbelievable season this year and finishing at World's is a capstone to the year!

Nothing better to do than get some open running races in the fall, so Get Ready to Howl for Upcoming Races:

Kevin "The Big Black Bear" Bevillard will be racing the "Spooky Sprint Half-Marathon" in Littleton, Colorado at the Chatfield Rez as another brick in the wall for IronMan 70.3 Haines City in Florida in December. Go Kev!

Tara "Yes I Can" Corduan will be racing at the Branch Brook 15K in Newark, New Jersey. This is a really fun course as I've done the 10K there before. Have fun! This is part of the build for the Alpha Wins Half-IronMan in Napa Valley next month!

Then, in few weeks

Kabir "Kaboom" Ghale will be heading to Sacramento, CA to race at IronMan California.

And "The Hammer" Solomon will be racing the AdventHealth Great Floridian Multisport Festival Triple Triathlon Challenge which is 3 Sprint Tris back-to-back-to-back; then, later this month at the Florida Distance Classic Half-Marathon, before going after IronMan 70.3 Haines City in Florida

Matt "Jiffy" Lubiak is looking to go sub-3 hours at the Atlantic City Marathon in New Jersey.

RJ Boergers will be racing at the NYC Marathon!

Thomas "The Swede" Andreasson will be racing the Corn Cobb Classic 10K in Washington, Missouri; then, a few weeks later, the MO Cow Bell Half-Marathon in St Charles, Missouri!
