The Howling -- Wolfpack Weekly Update (May 4, 2025)

May 4, 2025 -- I'll come back to this after the Howls, but your devices (e.g., Garmin, Zwift) should record what you do, not tell you what to do...

HOWLS

On the Half-Marathon Circuit, Howl out to:

- Mike Vrabel who flew out East to race the Brooklyn Marathon with his daughter!

- Tara "Yes I Can" Corduan who bounced back from being sick to race in the Superhero Half-Marathon in Morristown, NJ where she took 5th F50-54!

- Natalie "Legolas" Pitts who has been out of sorts the last few weeks, jumped into the LM Half-Marathon in Longmont, Colorado where she placed 2nd F30-39!

- Mary "The Mountain Goat" Hoftiezer who raced in the Blue Heron Half-Marathon in Brighton, Colorado and placed 2nd F50-59!

- Thomas "The Swede" Andreasson raced in his FIRST EVER Half-Marathon at the Drink MO Wine Half-Marathon in Augusta, Missouri recording a Personal Best and placed 4th M50-59! Of course, I have to say, you couldn't find 33 seconds over 13 miles to limbo under two hours???

On the bike racing front, Howl out to:

- Andy "The Hammer" Solomon who jumped into the Garden State Stage Race which over Saturday and Sunday raced in the Garden State Time Trial (Eddy Division), Garden State Road Race, and Garden State Circuit Race and got that "this is so different" experience bike racing!

- Mary "The Mountain Goat" Hoftiezer over the past 3 Wednesdays at the Karen Hornbostel Memorial Time Trial (KHMTT), placed 2nd, 3rd, and 2nd in F60-64!

- Matt "The Mountain" Rogotzke raced twice at KHMTT placing 5th each time in Male Cat 5!

- Adam "The Kaiju" Smith, over the past 3 races at KHMTT, placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in M40-44 Cat 5!

- Chris Kachinsky raced twice at KHMTT and won F55-59 each week.

- For me, for the past 3 KHMTT races where I race twice; i.e., 1st Race: M50+ Cat 4 (placed 1st each week) and 2nd Race: M55-59 Cat 4 (placed 1st once and 2nd twice)

GET READY TO HOWL

Next Weekend, Matt "The Mountain" Rogotzke will be racing in Utah at IronMan 70.3 St George! Matt has been working hard, so excited to see him race.

At KHMTT, Mary and I will be racing along with the most exciting race of the week where Adam "The Kaiju" Smith who is currently in 2nd Pace M40-44 Cat 5 goes head-to-head with his main competitor. Adam needs to win and his competitor must place 3rd or worse. It's a big field and a rainy, cold day, so it will be an exciting conclusion!
