The Howling -- Wolfpack Weekly Update (July 20, 2025)

July 20, 2025 HOWLS

Howl out to Andy "The Hammer" Solomon who raced at the CHALLENGE New Jersey State Olympic Triathlon this weekend. NJ State is notable as it is ranked 5th in the country for Short Course races and always brings a competitive field. Andy took 3rd M50-54 and only missed 2nd by a couple of minutes to my friend, Allen Lopez, who is a fierce competitor. This was a great race for Andy as, being the state championship, also placed him 3rd 50-54 for the NJ Olympic Tri Championship! BAM!!!

In Colorado, at Tri-Boulder:

For the "Beast" Long Course (1.2 Mile Swim / 50 Mile Bike / 9.3 Mile Run), Howl out to Mary "The Mountain Goat" Hoftiezer who adds to her podium count with a 1st place finish in F60-64 (8th Overall Female). Keep racing Mary!!!

For the Olympic Distance Course, Howl out to Matt "The Mountain" Rogotzke, who hasn't been able to race since IronMan St George 70.3 where he, unfortunately got the flew the week before the race. He placed 4th M30-34 (16th Overall), just 20 seconds out of 3rd place!

For the Sprint course, Howl out to Mike Vrabel raced his 3rd Tri in 4 weeks and Chris placed 1st F55-59 (4th Overall Female) and I placed 3rd Overall.
