The Howling: Wolfpack Weekly Update -- October 26, 2026

🐺 HOWLS

Howl out to Tara "Yes I Can" Corduan for her performance at the Alpha Win Half-Ironman in Napa Valley, CA. Tara had a really fantastic season this year, despite a relentless ankle injury that has made training throughout the summer very challenging. At the race itself, on the bike, she lost her bottles due to poor, bumpy road conditions, then, as opposed to stopping and going back to get them, she figured she'd grab electrolytes at the aid stations, only to find out that they had to stop serving anything but water due to BEES! Yes. Bees swarming the sugary drinks!!!!! The lack of electrolytes left her dehydrated badly, which resulted in exactly what you'd expect on the run. Therefore, she ended up 2nd in AG and, afterwards, the attitude she shared made me very happy, as she just had a rough day. Her overall season has been exceptional, so along with occasional setbacks, she's had very notable successes, including FIRST OVERALL FEMALE at the Lake Hopatcong Spring Tri and, recently, 1st AG at Branch Brook 15K, on top of her Spring Half-Marathon PR at Jersey City Half!

Howl out to Thomas "The Swede" Andreasson, who continues to improve his running with a Personal Record at the Corn Cob 10K in Missouri, along with an AG win. I spoke with The Swede after, and Thomas reminded me that two years ago, when we started all this, having no run background, getting through 1 mile was a challenge. He's been working at it and things are coming together!

Yelp out to Lindsey Givens, who's likely joining the Pack for the 2027 Season, as she nailed a 10K PR and took 2nd F40-44 at the Ghost and Goblins 10K in Denver.

Also, Yelp out to Scott Greenstone, a friend from NJ (who should be joining the Pack for the 2027 Season... :) ). Scott got on the podium for the first time at an Ironman 70.3 race, at Ironman 70.3 New York (Jones Beach), placing 5th M55-59! Scott's been working with Arland Macasieb on his Aero-fit and we are seeing massive bike split improvements. His comment afterwards was that if he learned to pee on the bike, he would have jumped up a spot or two on the podium! :)

WOLFPACK 7.0 ENHANCEMENT

You'll notice a couple of enhancements I launched this week.

First, are the Weekly Dashboards that I am sending out. These are still Beta versions, as I am working on making sure the information is useful, so be sure to give feedback. They are really interesting and I hope you enjoy them.

Second, I updated our Strength Training documents with a new look and feel, and Videos (Demos) that show you how a given workout is to be done. Matt "Jiffy" Lubiak is really excited, as he's never been in a weight room in his life... :)

RJ "The BoogeyMan" Boergers is racing the New York City Marathon this weekend!!!

Andy "The Hammer" Solomon will be racing the Florida Halloween Distance Classic Half-Marathon in Fort De Soto Park, Saint Petersburg, FL. He recently sent me a picture of himself from the Triple Tri last week. He looks super fit and like an absolute monster, so he won't need to dress up at all to scare the children...
