She-Wolf raced the World Triathlon Championship Finals in Pontevedra, Spain — as a member of Team USA! A sentence I thought I'd never write... :)

I was out for a run the other day and a song came on — Foxy Shazam's "Unstoppable" — and I reflected on my four years with She-Wolf, and it all made me smile.

L-Ro called me up several years ago, shortly after I started triathlon coaching, looking for help to "bring it" at the Jersey Girl Triathlon. I'm a pretty intense, driven guy, which comes across in how I coach, and through our conversation I questioned several times whether this was a good idea — the volume and intensity might be more than she wanted. We agreed I'd put a month of training together, and after that she could decide if it was what she was looking for, and I could decide whether it would work.

At the end of the trial we moved forward, and over time the improvements she made in each discipline were striking — not just gains in each one, but the ability to put it all together and show up on race day. At Jersey Girl, out of nearly 400 racers, she won her age group and took 7th overall! I remember looking at the results with a dropped jaw. Mission accomplished.

She stuck with it — managing family, traveling in and out of NYC for work, balancing "her" time — and kept enjoying the training and having great race days.

The team I coach is the Wolfpack, and "Bring Your Everyday (BYE) Beast" Tri Coaching comes from my belief that it's not about doing the minimum to cross the finish line and get your medal. It's about maxing out your capability and bringing your very best to the start line — so as you stand in the starting chute and look around, you can think: I've done everything I can to be ready, and the race is what the race is, because there's nothing more I could have done.

She-Wolf did it. All that work earned her a Team USA slot, and she toed the line in both the Draft-Legal Sprint and the Aquabike at the 2026 World Triathlon Championships in Pontevedra!

Her performance at both races puts her in the fastest 99.999999% of 45-49 Females in the World!!!!

Proud of you, L-Ro. Relentless Forward Motion!! :)
