HOWLS
Howl out to Eric "Charlemagne" Charlebois who PR'd his half-marathon time at the Myrtle Beach half-marathon. Charlemagne has been awesome to work with as each and every week we get a little stronger on the bike and a little faster on the run. The best part of the race was that he slid under 10:00 minute miles to achieve a new one-hour tempo pace and held it all together for the first 10 Miles of the run. The following 5K, not so much, but that gives us room to build.
At the "That Dam Run" in Denver, Howl out to Adam "The Kaiju" Smith and Nat "Legolas" Pitts. Kaiju raced his first ever half-marathon distance and came in just over 2:05, meaning, sub-2 is coming up at Colfax Half. Fun thing about Adam is that, as this is his first ever structured work he's done with a coach, his Strava Fitness and Freshness Graph is a ridiculous hockey stick! Nat podiumed by placing 3rd in F30-39 in her efforts to ready for IronMan 70.3 Morrow Bay.
Chris and I also podiumed 3rd F50-59 and 4th M50-59, respectively.
I told both Chris and Nat that they should run together as their times look to be identical. Of course, they weren't able to find each other, but ended up going back-and-forth in the race and finished 5 seconds apart... :)
